CENTERING WORDS We all get tossed around on the storms of life. Turn to the Lord. Turn with hope. Turn with longing. Turn from despair. Turn toward steadfast love and healing.
CALL TO WORSHIP (based on Psalm 130) Leader: Wait for the Lord, like those who hope in God’s mercy. All: God’s steadfast love endures forever. Leader: Watch for God, like those who eagerly await the morning. All: We watch for God, whose power redeems us. Leader: Hear God’s hopeful word, like those who long for pardon. All: Sing praise to God and rejoice in God’s love.

GOD’S WORD FOR TODAY
SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION/Intinction Hymnal pgs. 9-11 The United Methodist Church practices “open communion” which means all are welcome at the Lord’s Table. This day, communion will be celebrated by “Intinction”, the oldest form of communion in the Church. Come forward and receive a piece of bread and the words, “The Body of Christ.” Go to the cup and dip the bread in the juice and you will hear, “The Blood of Christ.” Afterwards, you may kneel at the sides of the chancel or return to your seat. We serve juice rather than wine so all can partake. There are offering plates by the front pews. You may leave your offering as you come forward to receive communion. If you are unable to come forward, please tell an usher and we will serve you in the pew. During communion you are invited to sing as the following hymns are played. Communion Hymns: #389 Freely, Freely #393 Spirit of the Living God
